Main activities

This action plan aims to establish an agenda for action by civil society for the prevention of violent extremism. While we understand that security forces must play a balanced role in the fight against extremist violence, This action plan aims to express the role of military and security forces in preventing violent extremism can be highly counter-productive and essential balance the current anti-terrorism efforts and giving a major role to civil society. The role of civil society must be accepted, promoted, protected, financed and encouraged.

Continue and undertake a critical review of all practices, strategies, policies and national legislation which is aimed at preventing and combating violent extremism to determine if they are seated firmly on respect for international humanitarian law human rights and the rule of law.
